| The
Clash of Civilizations / Civilisations ? by Samuel P. Huntington.
SAMUEL P. HUNTINGTON is the Eaton Professor of the Science of Government
and Director of the John M. Olin Institute for Strategic Studies at
Harvard University. This article is the product of the Olin Institute's
project on "The Changing Security Environment and American National
Interests." WORLD POLITICS IS entering a new phase, and intellectuals
have not hesitated to proliferate visions of what it will be -- the
end of history, the return of traditional rivalries between nation
states, and the decline of the nation state from the conflicting pulls
of tribalism and globalism, among others. Each of these visions catches
aspects of the emerging reality. Yet they all miss a crucial, indeed
a central, aspect of what global politics is likely to be in the coming
years. |
| The
coming confrontations with Islam Alfred Sherman takes a long view
of the 'clash of civilisations' There is much to be studied in present-day
Islam, and the changing nature over the centuries of the relationship
with Christendom which began when Islam burst out of the Arabian peninsula
and embarked on a career of conquest and conversion which has by no
means come to an end. Why Mohammed's musings should have formed the
basis of a world religion now encompassing a fifth of mankind is a
matter of speculation in the present state of our human self-knowledge;
perhaps it always will be. |

Left And The Corruption Of Language And Thought. Finally the left
was forced to admit that it really was what critics of socialism had
been saying it had been for decades: a gigantic charnel house coffin,
reeking with slave labor camps and death camps, in which the people
had been kept in a state of terror, poverty, and miserable, drab,
slavery for seven decades. ( Of course the left knew this; but, to
them, the preservation of the socialist myth was more important than
the freedom and lives of 300 million people, so they stayed absolutely
silent until the revelations of 1989/90). |
| LONDON,
May 18 (Reuters) - Britain's Commission for Racial Equality, charged
with fighting bias against ethnic minorities, is ready to take in
disenfranchised whites as the resurgence of the far right sends political
tremors across Europe."Unless society begins to tackle the problems
of young, disaffected white men, we will not reduce race violence,"
CRE Chairman Gurbux Singh told Saturday's Daily Telegraph newspaper. |

truths SIR-It isn't often that I am shocked when reading British
newspapers online, but the story about the jailing of a BNP man in
Scotland for four months for distributing leaflets accussing Muslim
immigrants of militancy and attacks against whites deeply disturbed
me (report, Nov.15) I understand that the BNP is an extremist group,
and that local Muslims were no doubt deeply offended by his activities.
But to have the state declare certain expressions of opinion as "hate
speech" strikes at the heart of what civil liberties mean. Living
in a free society is not easy. There will be times when distasteful
people will speak, and times when we are either deeply hurt or deeply
angered by the speech of others. |

persecution of David Duke. The official in the U.S. Justice Department
directing this persecution of David Duke is a rabid Zionist, Michael
Chertoff, who is head of the Criminal Division. Chertoff is also in
charge of prosecuting terrorists in America and has repeatedly promoted
the denial of American Constitutional liberties in testimony before
the United States Congress. Chertoff is the official who stopped the
Federal prosecution of the 200 Israeli spies who were caught in the
months before and after the 911 attacks. He even allowed the Israeli
spies who had closely monitored to the 911 hijackers were allowed
to return to Israel so as to cover up the Israeli complicity and treachery
in the September attacks. |

Murder of Dr. David Kelly: Alex Jones Interviews Michael Shrimpton
Monday 23rd February 2004Before we go to our first guest, who Im
honoured to have, well our guest for this hour, I wanted to just remind
you that Dr David Kelly was the head of the Level-4 Porton Down Bio-weapons
lab in Wiltshire, England. And he was then the head British weapons
inspector whod been pro-war. He then came back and leaked information
that `look Im a hawk for this war but Im not gonna lie.
Saddam doesnt have weapons of mass destruction. And Tony Blair
mis-used my assessment. Well suddenly he wound up dead. He told
British and US colleagues that `Im gonna be murdered and found
dead in the woods if I dont shut up. |

Duke An Open Letter to the FBI. Today I want to share an open
letter that I have written to the FBI about Israeli treachery and
terrorism against America and the American treason that supports it.
To Every Member of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (the FBI):
I believe that most members of the FBI are good Americans, loyal Americans.
Many of you had the dream of becoming an FBI agent since your childhood.
You wanted to do something patriotic and good for America. You wanted
to defend America from her enemies. I am sure that many of you over
the years have become quite disillusioned by the direction taken by
an expanding Federal Government and the erosion of the freedoms of
the American people, yet you have clung to your childhood dreams and
remained in the FBI believing that you could be of service to the
people of the United States. |
David
Duke. open letter to the President of the United States George W.
Bush.
Dear Mr. President,
During your passionate and truly great speech before Congress, you
told us of the need to protect America against terrorism. True. You
eloquently told us of the greatness and the courage of many Americans
during this crisis we faced on September 11th. As a former elected
official who has heard thousands of speeches, it was perhaps one of
the best I have heard in my lifetime. But, Mr. President, Sir, you
also told Congress and the American people something quite inaccurate.
I quote: "Americans are asking 'Why do they hate us?' |
